Create a customer account

You can now create Storefront accounts on behalf of your customers. Enter their basic account details to quickly generate their account and securely send their login details, simplifying the setup process while ensuring secure password handling.

You can now move domains between Storefront customer accounts, making it easier to consolidate accounts and manage domains more efficiently.

Customers page improvements

You can now view customers’ Username and Account Status right from the Customers page. We’ve also added a CSV export feature, allowing you to easily extract customer data for use in your own systems or third-party tools.

Support for .locker

Web3-curious customers can now purchase .locker domains. Storefront now supports 88 domain extensions.

Storefront Orders Now Processed Through Your Stripe Account

Storefront orders are now processed directly through your own Stripe account, giving you more transparency and control. Stripe Custom Connect is no longer supported. You’ll need to connect your own Stripe account to continue processing orders.

  • Those who signed up between October 29th and November 12th can now activate their Storefront.
  • You can now set custom tax rates and taxes will be automatically applied to eligible orders placed through your Storefront. Please note that you are responsible for collecting and remitting taxes.
  • A new flat fee of $0.75 per order replaces the previous rate of 3% + $0.95 per transaction.
  • Payments now go directly to your Stripe account, providing immediate access to funds and a clear view of transactions.
  • Storefront fees and domain orders are deducted from your OpenSRS account balance.

Use your own Stripe account

You can now connect your existing Stripe account or sign up for a new one directly through our platform. This update marks a crucial improvement in your payment processing experience, giving you more control and transparency.

Key Benefits:

  • New Fee Structure: The previous rate of 3% + $0.95 per transaction is now replaced by a reduced rate of $0.75 per order.
  • Direct Payment Control: Process payments through your own Stripe account, with direct access to your funds and a consolidated view of transactions.
  • OpenSRS Balance Use: Domain orders and related Storefront fees are now deducted directly from your OpenSRS account balance.
  • Flexible Pricing: Soon, you’ll be able to set your own selling prices without minimum price restrictions.

Storefront Test Environment

You can now use a dedicated Storefront test environment to check functionality and run tests. You can log in using your OpenSRS testing environment credentials to Storefront test site

Note: Your testing account credentials may not be the same as your OpenSRS reseller account. If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it.

Set your tax rules

You can now set custom tax rates and manage tax collection on specific Storefront orders based on your customers' country and state/province. Create multiple tax rules using your Tax ID/VAT number, and taxes will be automatically applied to eligible orders placed through your Storefront.

Query strings for DNS and user ID

You can use query strings to simplify DNS setup by automatically applying a DNS template or passing a unique user ID to your Storefront for tracking. For example, if your marketing agency offers domains as part of a website and hosting package, you can add a DNS template ID to the URL pointing to your Storefront. When customers register or transfer a domain after clicking on that URL, the domain’s DNS settings will be automatically applied, pointing to your agency’s hosting service. query strings to push data to Storefront.

Add your custom favicon to your Storefront

You can now upload a favicon image for your Storefront under Storefront Settings. This enhances your brand recognition, creates a more professional appearance, and helps your Storefront stand out in browser tabs and bookmarks.
