What is DNSSEC?
DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions) is designed to protect Internet users from forged DNS in order to prevent DNS tampering. DNSSEC works by digitally signing the DNS records at the authoritative DNS server. If the digital signature is identical to the information on the authoritative DNS server, it will direct visitors to the intended site rather than a site where personal info could be compromised. If the DNS cannot be authenticated, the browser will not display the site.
